Today, we are excited to announce that in continuation of our partnership with Microsoft, we have a touch-optimized browsing and sharing experience for Clipboard on Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 in a way that feels like a fast, fluid and native Windows 8 app. Some notable touch-friendly features and gestures include:
Pinning the Heartclip tile
Access Clipboard.com with one click by pinning the heartclip to the desktop. Note that the number on the lower right indicates live notifications on Clipboard when someone likes your clip, shares a clip with you or starts following you.
To pin Clipboard to the desktop, just click on the Pin to Start menu option.
Share Charm
Share clips or boards on Clipboard from IE10 into other applications within Windows 8 like Mail, People, etc. using the Windows 8 Share Charm. When a clip or board is shared from the Share Charm, the clip title and thumbnail will appear in the preview.
Tap
Tap on a board to view clips inside the board. Tapping on the clip tile will open the clip in a lightbox.
Swiping
Swipe on a clip in the lightbox from right to left to view next clip within the board. Swipe on a clip from left to right to view previous clip within the board.
Snap and Adaptive Design
Clipboard is also snappable: you can have Clipboard in IE10 running alongside another application side-by-side. For example, you can view your mail while exploring public clips at the same time.
We hope that these new features further enrich your browsing and sharing experience for Clipboard on IE10 on Windows 8.
